LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY

Ever since I picked up a camera I’ve been obsessed with capturing the raw beauty of nature. I originate from a small country town outside of Ballarat with not a lot in the form of grand Landscapes. So I started by simply obsessing over capturing the “perfect” shot of Lake Wendouree. When I felt I had succeeded there I broadened my horizons a tad and started getting up stupidly early in order to drive down the Great Ocean Road in search of the perfect seascape. However my thirst was never quite quenched and I was longing for the mountains. I was lucky enough my Father lived in Tasmania so I got into hiking and explored some of what our most picturesque state had to offer. Again, I wanted bigger and grander so off to NZ I went. I’ve since been many stunning places and never tire of witnessing that gorgeous golden hour.

There’s something about being in nature that’s soothing for the soul. We as humans were not supposed to sit inside all day. So in order to help me connect with the land, I use Photography as a tool to encourage me to get up before the sun, sit through the most beautiful part of the day and relive it through these stunning specs of time that will never exist again.
